The Terms That Govern Our Service

Please take a moment to review these terms before booking with Sparklyn Cleaning Co.

Sparklyn Cleaning Co. Terms of Service

Last updated: June 4, 2026

Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between Sparklyn Cleaning Co. ("Sparklyn," "we," "us," or "our") and any visitor, user, or customer ("you") of our website and services. By using our website, requesting a quote, or booking a cleaning, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our website or book our services. We may update or revise these Terms at any time, and your continued use of our website and services means you accept those changes. Our Privacy Policy is separate from this Agreement and explains how we handle your information.

Our Cleaning Services

Sparklyn offers residential and commercial cleaning, including standard cleaning, deep cleaning, move in / move out cleaning, recurring plans, and Airbnb / short-term rental turnovers throughout Richmond, Virginia and the surrounding areas. The specific tasks included in each service are described on our website and may be adjusted based on the condition and size of your space.

When you book, we ask for accurate details about your home or business — including contact information, the size of the space, and any access instructions — so we can prepare properly. We schedule an arrival window rather than an exact arrival time so our team can account for traffic and the needs of the clients before you.

Scheduling and Confirmation

Submitting a booking request online does not guarantee an appointment. A booking is confirmed only once our team has reviewed it and sent you a confirmation. We organize our routes to serve clients efficiently, and we will always do our best to honor your preferred day and time.

If our team arrives and is unable to access your property, the visit may be treated as a late cancellation and a lockout fee may apply (see Cancellations below).

Payment

We accept major credit and debit cards. A valid payment method may be kept securely on file to reserve your appointment, and payment is processed after your cleaning is complete unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Recurring clients on weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedules may qualify for discounted rates. You are responsible for any outstanding balances, and we reserve the right to pause service on accounts with unpaid invoices.

Our Re-Clean Promise & Refunds

Your satisfaction matters to us. Because cleaning is a hands-on service performed at the time of your appointment, payments are generally non-refundable. Instead, we stand behind our work with a re-clean promise: if you are not happy with a specific area, let us know within 24 hours and we will return to make it right at no additional charge.

Customer Service

If something is not right, please contact us by email at info@sparklyncleaningco.com or by phone at (804) 409-4787. We typically respond within 24 to 48 hours and will work with you to resolve any concern fairly and promptly.

Right to Refuse Service

The safety of our team comes first. We reserve the right to decline or stop a cleaning if conditions are unsafe or unsanitary — including, for example, the presence of weapons, hazardous materials, severe clutter, aggressive animals, or threatening or intimidating behavior. If our team must leave a job for these reasons after arriving, a cancellation fee may apply.

Cancellations and Lockouts

We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, or visits where our team cannot access the property at the scheduled time, may be subject to a cancellation or lockout fee. This helps us fairly compensate our team for reserved time.

Access, Security, and Alarms

You are responsible for providing safe and reliable access to your property, including any gate codes, alarm codes, or keys needed for entry. Please make sure alarm systems are disarmed or that we have clear instructions to do so. Sparklyn is not responsible for loss or damage resulting from keys or access information left in unsecured locations or shared with us against your own instructions.

Customer-Provided Equipment and Supplies

We arrive prepared with our own professional supplies and equipment. If you ask us to use your equipment or cleaning products, you do so at your own risk, and Sparklyn is not liable for any damage caused by that equipment or those products. If customer-provided equipment is unavailable or not working, some tasks may not be completed.

Special Instructions and What We Cannot Clean

We welcome special requests, including the use of green or fragrance-free products where possible — just let us know in advance. For health and safety reasons, there are some things we cannot clean, including but not limited to: mold remediation, biohazards, human or animal waste, pest infestations, and hoarding situations. If you provide your own cleaning agents and ask us to use them, you accept responsibility for any resulting damage.

Before and After Photos

With your permission, our team may take before and after photos of the spaces we clean to document our work and, occasionally, to showcase our services. We respect your privacy — if you prefer that we not photograph your space, simply let us know and we will honor your request.

Inaccessible Areas and Heavy Objects

For the safety of our team, we do not climb higher than a two-step step stool and we do not move heavy furniture or objects. If you would like us to clean behind or beneath heavy items (generally anything over about 35 pounds), please move them before our visit so the area is accessible.

Breakage and Loss

We treat your home and belongings with care. Accidents are rare, but if breakage or damage occurs, please notify us within 24 hours so we can address it. Sparklyn is not responsible for normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, or items that were improperly installed, hung, or secured.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sparklyn Cleaning Co. and its team members from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of our website or services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of any third party.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sparklyn is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the service giving rise to that claim.

Force Majeure

Sparklyn is not responsible for delays or failures to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flood, illness, utility failures, or other acts of God.

Dispute Resolution

We hope to resolve any concern directly and amicably. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to first attempt mediation in Richmond, Virginia before pursuing any other action. You agree to provide written notice of any dispute and allow at least 30 days for us to respond before filing a claim.

Notices

Any legal notices to Sparklyn should be sent in writing to info@sparklyncleaningco.com or by phone at (804) 409-4787. We may provide notices to you by email or by posting them on our website.

Non-Solicitation

The relationships we build with our cleaning professionals are important to us. You agree not to directly hire, contract, or solicit any Sparklyn team member outside of our company, during your time as a client and for a period of three years afterward.

Modification and Assignment

You may not transfer or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. Sparklyn may update these Terms or assign this Agreement as part of normal business operations.

Acceptable Website Use

When using our website, you agree not to engage in prohibited activities, including using bots or automated tools to access or scrape the site, attempting to gain unauthorized access, data mining, harassing others, infringing on intellectual property, or interfering with the proper functioning of the website.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our website or services at any time, with or without notice, if we believe these Terms have been violated or for any other lawful reason.

Conduct

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for spam, harassment, abusive behavior, and unlawful activity directed at our team, our website, or other users.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Electronic Acceptance

By booking our services or using our website, you agree that your electronic acceptance carries the same legal weight as a handwritten signature.
